It's been a bit nuts over here. Last week we took a break to do some time-critical updates on our US home to get it ready to be rented next year. We were supposed to have electricians working on the whole first floor but they are having parts issues and still haven't done anything. There was a 4 day weekend with the kid and I had one of the worst health flair-ups I have had in a very long time. Was stuck in bed for several days there, so things are a bit out of wack and behind. Getting back into the swing of it now.

BC Updates
-I will be working on getting the PRE ready to go next week. And Jenx is starting work on the Halloween horse art.
-Thank you for sharing feedback with us about what you want for the Akhal Teke. We settled on a look that was more true to the sport horse type favored in the home country of the breed while still retaining some strong traits that make the breed stand out. It was very clear from the feedback that our community is very split on what style of Akhal Teke they want so hopefully a middle-ground appearance will be serviceable for most players.
-I will not be requesting image references for an adult Akhal Teke as I am actually already all set. I might ask for help with the foal but I am not sure yet.

Other News
-Haystack has been plinking away steadily at payment system updates so he is making progress even if I was under the weather.
-My inbox is kind of a wild mess at the moment. I am doing a few fixes for members and will hopefully start breeding lab updates stuff soon but I also have quite a log jam that has built up and it is being a beast to untangle. I am not exactly sure what will be getting done in what order.

OCT 11th DOWNTIME!
On October 11th our server company is going to be physically unplugging our server, taking it out of its rack, and moving it to a new location. When that happens we will go dark for about 30 minutes, but it could be as much as a few hours. This could happen at literally any time on the 11th. There should be no issues, but just a heads up about it.

The Andalusian is coming along so nicely! I think they’ll look fantastic with DFP so I’m going to have to make some room for some medium bone horses in my main line :D

What you describe with the AT sounds exciting, too! I can’t wait to see it! I’ve already started switching my young unbred stock to a new breed name to make room for both them and the Andalusian.

You just get better first. I know you want to get these updates out for us, but I think it would be a bit harder from a hospital bed. Health comes first!

So I have settled on once the PRE is out for sale I will be focusing on marking clean up. A new breeding lab is great and all but not having wacky leg markings seems more vital to me.

-Besides I am waiting on Haystack for a few things I need to start the process on that

That PRE makes me want to start a warm blood size line (I'm assuming they'll be art for that and not light or heavy right?)... course I keep forgetting to breed my current horses lol.

As an aside and obviously *way* down the list, is there any plan to update more of the backgrounds and tack to be able to "fit" the new breed characteristic art? I really like a specific background for my "unicorn" line (basically anything with a fantasy gene I slap a fake unicorn horn on and call it a unicorn lol) but sadly the BC for the polish Arabian, which I want to use, is too tall so I had to switch backgrounds to one that's OK but not as much to my taste.

Like I said super minor detail that I'm more curious about than anything else. Same for a lot of the head tack... it's not a problem because my only "breed"/line that I use a tack pack on by default is the classic light horse body type but I updated my default breed to use the polish Arabian art before I remembered to make an actual breed for my hAppies as I call them (minimal "pinto" type genes, ideally none, lp, patn1, snow, halo and asr1) so some of my foundations ended up having the polish Arabian body type... oops! But when I was removing the background I noticed that the bridle was angled wrong. Again, super minor issue just curious if some time in the future after all the tack system upgrades making more backgrounds large size compatible and maybe adding rotation to head gear so we can make halters etc fit on the new art are possibilities.

@DarkwatchStables I know it can be kinda annoying, but you can shrink the horses down. I've had to do that to make room for their awards or fit into the stall packs. But it kinda gives them the impression of pony size since we're so used to the other size.

In a previous post Ammit mentioned making it so we can rotate and resize tack items in the new editor, but that will probably be a 2024 project. Last I recall they wanted to get the new BC's in before messing with the tack editor.

DarkwatchStables - We've already talked about both this before on announcements actually. :) We are making the backgrounds we are able to larger. As for tack, more control with tack is something we are working on but critical payment system updates are coming first.

Will you be re-shading the Friesian to look as good as the PRE? Now that we've seen how fantastic your staff's skills are. The Friesian is awesome, and the PRE is even better. I'm going to have to have a little chat with my bank account lol.
