Subscription Prices Have Increased to 9.50 per month - Switch and get 5 free BC tokens!

Why is the price increasing?
I did a detailed write-up here. The short version is inflation and server costs have gone way up but our prices have not we have to adjust our prices so we can keep paying the bills.
What if I already have a subscription?
If you have a subscription created at the 7.50 price you can keep it as long as it keeps running. Your price will not change. If your subscription gets canceled or fails for any reason though you will have to switch to the new subscription model. From today on it is impossible to create a new subscription at the old price for any reason but as long as your 7.50 subscription keeps running we will honor it.
We would love it if you switched to the new subscription system!
If you can afford it, we would love for you to cancel your old subscription and make a new one when it expires. It not only helps us out a ton, but it also should be a more reliable and easier-to-manage system for you. The new subscriptions will be managed entirely on HuntAndJump. No more fighting with PayPal to cancel subs. Everything will be much more streamlined.
To switch please cancel your subscription (see below), wait until your current premium upgrade runs out, and then create a new subscription at the new price on the upgrade page.

If you have purchased 6 months of premium upgrade out of the past 12 months you will be rewarded with 5 free BC tokens (worth 25 USD) as a thank-you for your continued support of the game and for being an awesome member.
A few notes
You can no longer purchase a subscription for other players. Subscriptions will be locked to the ordering account to prevent problems between users and to make sure our system can properly manage your sub. You WILL be able to buy a premium upgrade for other users (or for yourself) as a stand-alone purchase instead of a subscription. This functionality will be out in a few days. It's pretty much ready to go but we want to confirm the sub version is working before running that out.
Also, subscriptions are not part of your regular cart and can not be combined with other purchases because of the way our payment processor handles subscriptions. But stand a long premium upgrade purchases will be able to be added to the cart.
If you have any questions or run into any issues please post them below and we will resolve things as quickly as possible. It is a holiday in the US so if we don't reply today we will first thing tomorrow.
Step By Step to change to the new price
1) Cancel your premium subscription on Paypal. You must cancel to proceed.
2) Wait until your premium runs out. This may take up to a month

How to cancel your current PayPal subscription.
For most of the time we have used PayPal for subs, it has always been straightforward to cancel a subscription. At some point recently they decided to just start telling people you can cancel your subscription on our site. At no point did they ever communicate this change to us nor did they tell us how to let you do that. So here is a tutorial on how to actually cancel your old subs
Log into PayPal and go to your activity log. Fine one of your subscription payments. It will be to KD Web Games and say -7.50. Click on the payment to open it.
Once the payment is open you want to click on "Manage KD Web Games payments.
This will open your payments tab. You should see KD Web Games at the top of the page. If not find KD Web Games in the list on the left and click to open. You will see a link that says "Manage and cancel at KD Web Games" This is a hot pile of steaming lies. Ignore this and scroll to the bottom of this area.
Sorry this shot is small but it was a long page. You can see the liar link highlighted at the top here. Scroll all the way down to where it says "Remove PayPal as payment method." Click here.
Clinking this will open up the real link to cancel your sub. They will once again attempt to trick you with links back to the game. Don't call for this ploy. Click "Remove"
You did it! You canceled your subscription. The final page asks you for some feedback if you want to give it but you can just hit "Prefer not to answer"

As long as it is canceled on Paypal you are good to go. :) If you can't do the cancel process again it means you did it right and are good.
You can also go to the upgrade page to see if it has a cancel notification

I think mine cancels on the first, so I will post here how the transition goes. I also pay for a friend, but theirs cancels on the 15th, so when that is up I'll use the cart system and let you know.

@ammit, mine ends in 15 days. So I have to wait 15 days for it to cancel, I guess.

@Fiddler No, you 100% can cancel it today. You just need to follow the instructions posted above.To switch please cancel your subscription (see below), wait until your current premium upgrade runs out, and then create a new subscription at the new price on the upgrade page.
Canceling a subscription does not erase the days you paid for.

Everyone who wants to switch should cancel their subscriptions ASAP. You do not and should not wait to cancel your subscription. Sorry, I thought I made that clear. So do not wait as you will almost for sure get charged again if you wait. Just cancel it now.
When your subscription runs out (after you have canceled it) then you can make your new one when your account no longer has an upgade. Or if you don't care you can cancel today and make your new one today and just accept a bit of overpay.

PayPal says I no longer have a subscription.
But h&j says I do -
@Fiddler If you no longer have an active subscription with PayPal, your subscription that has already been paid for (the rest of the month) will still run it's course. Then, because there's no active subscription, it won't auto renew, so the subscription will come to an end and you can purchase the new subscription.

Can you walk me through how you came to that conclusion? It is very incorrect but I am not sure how to set you on the correct path without just quoting what is above. @OopsDotCom that means if you have paid for 6 months in the last 12 months. So 6 individual months in the last 12 months. When you switch over to the new price, you will be given 5 free BCs.
You're not making a 6 month purchase for anything. It's only if you have previously paid for 6 individual months in the last 12 months.Thanked by 1Ammit -

I've tried to follow your instructions but have hit a problem. I'm OK up to 'Manage KD Web Games payments', but once I do that the page that comes up doesn't look the same as yours. Nothing says "Manage and cancel at KD Web Games", only one that says 'Cancel'. If I click that it says 'Once you cancel, you'll have to set up pre-approved payments again to pay with PayPal. Your subscription is still active, so visit KD Web Games to set a new way to pay or to cancel.' In desperation I tried going ahead but it just gave a 'Sorry something went wrong, try later' message and I'm afraid to try again. This is very frustrating! :(
I don't know if this is to do with me living in the UK and Paypal has moved from being Paypal (Europe) to Paypal UK Limited. -
I've just tried it again and it seems to have worked this time. It says my account on here is inactive so fingers crossed. :)

The 'Sorry something went wrong, try later' message comes up not terribly in often with Paypal. Just come back in a few minutes and it normally sorts it's self out. You must have been on the older system before they got rid of the cancel options. Thankfully no more fussing with this once you are on the 9.50 subs. :)Need to contact me? Read this first.

So I think I have this. I just canceled PayPal as payment. Then tomorrow night I can go to the upgrade page and enter new payment info? My current renew is on the 30th. Or should I just do it now?

Thanks for all of this, @Ammit! Excited to have a more streamlined payment management system. :)
I already canceled my subscriptions in PayPal, so no issue there. But I just want to make sure - Will this impact our GE entry at all? My subscription is good well past 12/1, so I assume it will be fine since we'll have already been assigned at a respective level. But just want to make sure that if, for instance, our subscription runs out and we miss a day before re-subscribing it won't mess up anything with our GE. (I'm sure you wouldn't do us dirty like that, but my anxious brain parts refuse to believe without explicit assurances! X_X )Thanked by 1Ammit -

@Ammit ok, I take that back. I noticed my pastures are still saying I can breed on the 7th, and not the 5th. I tried doing a hard refresh to see if that cleared the message, but it hasn't.

Okay, when I go to the buy subscriptions page, it says I have an active subscription and there's a button that says "manage subscription". when I click on that, it takes me to a page that says "you have no active subscriptions" but neither has a place to either cancel the one I have or buy a new recurring one. If you purchased it as a stand alone, it miight not "read" as an active subscriptions. IMO I 'd wait til you have under a week left and try again under the main page of Upgrade Your Account.

I cancelled today but I have previous canceled subscriptions that still show on the page for some reason...is that going to cause any issues?
I'm also sure I had a premium for more than 6 months...is there a way i can check on that?
