This is semi game related, but I wasn't sure where to put it. Sometimes when I'm naming show ponies, I will have them all share a random seasonal prefix and then give them all a random second word for the rest of their name. Well, today I gave a few a Christmas prefix and got this gem.

ROR Christmas Karl

I started crying almost immediately when I saw it. My dad's name was Karl. His birthday was the day after Christmas, so my grandma sometimes called him Christmas Karl. He passed away 15 years ago. He was an amazing father and I miss him so much. The odds of this happening are insane and I felt the need to share with someone. I almost feel like this little pony was a hug from heaven.

awwww; If you add a cardinal to the picture, it can be a visit from your dad every time you open the picture up ( there is an old wives tale about cardinals being visitors from someone who had passed voer to let you know they are still watching over you ) and I think this "random" name might just be a lovely reminder :) Am sure he loved you as much as you loved him <3

This is a great idea! I love cardinals and see them often. This pony will be getting a special makeover.
