We are in the process of converting the game over completely from the old 333px high backgrounds to the new 500px high backgrounds. Jenx this week went through and cataloged all the older backgrounds that we have a 500px high replacement for and disabled them.

You can no longer search for these old short backgrounds or add them in the tack editor. However, if you use the shorter backgrounds you can still copy them over from other horses in your barn. They just can't be added directly from the tack editor.

He also edited the names of all the backgrounds that had 500 in the name to say 'Tall' instead to keep the naming internally consistent. (Eventually 'Tall' will also be dropped once it is no longer needed. )

Over the next week or two expect more short backgrounds to be disabled as Jenx makes new tall versions of them. The default image will also be switching to 500 high soonish here. It's a lot of moving parts and a lot of backgrounds so be forewarned it will be a slow process.
