Winter Time Change
-
Is there anyone else that struggles in the winter months with the time changes and it getting dark so early?
I live in Kentucky and have had a lot of life changes happen to me this year. All my horses (3) and my sisters horse came to my grandparents farm to be closer to me about mid August. Everything has been pretty great until this time change started. I get off work at 5 but by the time I get to the farm and all the feed mixed up I’m sitting watching horses eat in the dark. I’m more than happy doing my farm chores no matter the season, it’s just been really hard since this time change happened for me. -
It’s even worse up where I live, if it’s cloudy, it’s dark at 330.
It’s tough to work full time and try to keep horses. I remember those days. Hang in there, In one month the days start getting longer -
Yes, I struggle with the time change as well. I get off work and it already looks like its 9pm. I get home and still have more work to do taking care of all the animals. I understand the struggle. I think the time change is our chance to let our bodies rest after chores are done. Make a yummy hot chocolate and sit on the couch playing a little hunt and jump :DThanked by 1Fiddler

Oh yes. My husband leaves in the dark and comes home in the dark every work day. It is depressing, but I am thankful that soon we will be gaining daylight.

I can’t wait for gaining the life back. I don’t feel like it would be so bad if I had a barn to feed the horses in, but winter mud plus the only light I have being a headlamp and the lights on our gator. On the bright side of life, I still get to spend time with my horses in spite of the bad weather (and watching them eat is when I play the most haha).
Visions, I used to work about an hour from where I live and I literally felt like a vampire this time of year. When I’d work the interior units of the hospital, there’s not a lot of windows so I’d have days I literally didn’t see the sun.
