Hey dear Hajinc folks and friends,

I'm back! I'm not sure for how long, but creating and breeding horses got me all excited again.

I wanted to make a post about why I suddenly stopped for ages but never got to it, so now it is a post about being back haha.

- For those interested: this is why I stopped and why I got back -
I suddenly stopped in may 2023. I got a new job in april, but it was very very demanding (too small of a team, too much work). I also noticed that I had spent waay too much time and energy on my pixel ponies, almost like an addiction. So I just cold turkey stopped. And that felt good. (My apologies for not letting anyone know, it wasn't planned or anything)

However, work was very demanding and stressful and last may I got to the point I couldn't take it any more and got sick/burnt out. I had incredible stomach pains. Turns out it was pancreatitis. Had to be hospitalised, and also got a terrible ulcerative colitus flare (IYKYK). Because of that flare I was in the hospital for 6 weeks, and now I'm still at home recovering from that.

So, whilst I'm at home and have the time (and since last month also the energy) I figured: why not check in again!

And it immediately got me excited, as well as the nice and helpful community on the forums (yes I've been lurking ;)) so nice to see many players from 'my time' still around!

All my horses have aged out but that's fine, I've got many straws left. And it's also a bit of a challenge to start it all up again!

So I'm back for now! I'm not sure for how long as I hope to get to work again in 2025. But for now it is fun!

Also, if anyone wants some hom sty straws with GP, Satin, Chocolate, Snowflake or fantasy genes from my old lines shoot me a message (also for GE). I'm more than happy to share!

Aww thank you Ammit, that is so sweet! Happy to be back :)

And thanks for the straw list, I definitely have waay too many X_X

Oh and by the way Ammit I love the updates with the breeding lab/straws! I had to get used to it a bit but now it is much smoother and a better overview!

Welcome back! I am sorry to hear that you have been having to spend so much time in the hospital. I hope when you go back to work you can find a comfortable balance to be able to play the game. :D

I find the game to be very relaxing but I have been diving in maybe a bit too much as well lately with added stress of getting ready to move. My balance with this game has been trying to keep my barn small so I’m forced to not have too many hahaha. But, it still is slowly growing anyway. I might look through your straw list because it looks interesting!

Good to see you back and I hope you carry on recovering well. One of the (many) great things about this game, is that you can take a break from it and then come back and carry on. I know your horses have aged out, but it gives you a wonderful opportunity to explore new possibilities. Nice to 'see' you again. :)

I hear you on the demanding jobs. It’s so hard to find the time and mental space to play these days. I’m so thankful this game is geared the way it is so I can try to stay in at least somewhat. I need to do some major downsizing though :))

@RedRoseRanch thank you for your kind words! It will be challenging to go to work again but luckily I can build it up slowly and hopefully manage to find the right balance that way haha. Your tip of keeping it small sounds like a good idea! I might need to enforce some limits on myself haha. Let me know if you see anything you like :)

@annismyrph thank you! Good to see you still around! Still breeding blue roan appys? I don't think you breed for it but if you happen to have any hom sty/S+ mares with GP and/or Chocolate (b) sitting around I'd be thrilled to buy a few!

@Fiddler thank you for your kind words! I remember you too haha :x Unfortunately that mare is not mine so I cannot sell you her eggs, I'm sorry! In general anything that has 'MS' in its name are my (old) horses that I can give you straws/eggs from. Anything there for you?
For me I could use a few hom sty/S+ mares with GP and/or Chocolate (b) to use my overflow of straws on haha.

@WhiteValley thank you! You're absolutely right, it is also kind of a luxury to start over and rethink everything! Oh and congratz on your 15 years here, that's amazing!

@paradoxphoenix thank you! I just don't know what it is but it feels like time is going much faster than 15 years ago haha. A bit of downsizing is always a good idea! I already created too many foundation horses so next month I will do it Marie Kondo style: does it give me joy? No? Okay to the auctions you'll go haha. But you're right, I'm glad this game is designed that you can play everyday or only once a week or only 2 days a month: everything is possible!

@MasterStablesMS, yes I am still breeding the "unicorns" of BlueRoan Snowflake appies lol! Its awesome you remembered that! I also have a HOM Dp HOM STY line of livers, but few of them have GP and none of them have Chocolate sorry..
You'd be welcome to stalk this list and see if any work for you :)

Welcome back, I also just found the energy to really start my barn back up in the last month or two.

I have boatloads of 2 and 3 gen hom Sty/S+. If you want any, most have satin. I thought I had a line of sooty and chocolate (b) but apparently they all died…whoops! I guess I have another project to work on now
