Nope, I absolutely loved the look of the old satin. The new one is pretty on some colors, and on some colors I cant even see it. It will never have my heart like the old satin, and as of right now I am debating if it's worth spending the GMTs on it in the future.

Or like balloons! =)) =)) I've seen a few of the BCs that look slightly more 'expanded' than they should. I don't think I'll be buying it anymore. Just sticking to Ice 19 for my color. Not fond of the fact it takes up one of my ice alleles for the look, but it still works.

I really miss the old satin as well. @Maribo I feel the same way. It will save me some GMTs.

I plan to add satin now that it is more realistic.

Wait the same person on Forest who said the old satin looks green posted here that they loved the old satin. There might be some rose-tinted glasses going on here. :))

Nope, not at all. It was me. I have never seen a horse look green with the old satin before that one, and I also said so when you said that it was the old satin doing it. No rose colored glasses at all, I 100% prefer the old satin. Now, if the old satin had to be tweaked to not make that particular color go green, I would have understood it easily. I'm just really sad that all my lines are now something completely different than they have been the 10+ years I have been building them. I don't feel like that is something to laugh at me for.

It is inevitable that when something on the game is changed, there will be people who struggle with it. Most of us don't like change, and some find it more difficult than others. As a long term player, I have found that although I often struggle with the changes at first, I usually come round once I get used to them. Occasionally, I don't, but then there are so many new things, too, that I end up not minding too much. Ammit, you have an awesome game - don't mind us, you know best! :)

I loved the old satin! The rainbowy hue was something I very much liked to see, especially on the darker horses. However, I can also understand Ammit's wish for a more real life like satin, since this game is so much like real life, and especially with the new name change. So the new satin (less rainbow hue more glossy) is maybe something I just need to get used to.

However, I was thinking: wouldn't it be possible to have both? This new glossy satin would be the main/default satin, as it is how it is in real life. The older, more impactful rainbowy satin hue could be the 'satin booster' gene or something. That you have to add on to the real life satin to get that rainbow hue. That way players can choose which satin they'd like best.
Just an idea that popped up in my head!

If this new satin stays that is okay too, just something to get used to for me.

Anyhow, compliments for Ammit for letting us have this discussion and taking our feedback into consideration. And ofcourse for continually evolving the game and wanting to make it more life like.

Maybe I’m the odd one out, but I actually love the Satin update. I didn’t use a whole lot of satin in the past purely because of the unrealistic rainbow hue.

Maybe there could be a fantasy satin released in the future that is a new-and-improved rainbow-y hue?
