So I just have a general question, when selling home foals I imagine 2500hbs is a fair starting point? Or how do you more seasoned players go about pricing? Sometimes I think if I have an A or Star rated stud they could be priced higher but I just seem to have a hard time selling sometimes.. I have two A papered stallions and I am just wondering if I should geld them and keep as show horses or just keep waiting for someone to decide they want them? The only reason I hadn't (gelded) yet was cause I thought they were decent breeding prospects just not for myself. Thanks!

When I have a homebred foal that I think could be a good breeder for someone else, I usually advertise them in the forum and put them in the auction for seven days at a price that's over 2500hbs. That way, if someone is interested, they're more likely to see the foal and either make an offer or purchase them in the auction. If no one is interested, the foal isn't deleted from the game and you can geld/spay it to be used as a show pony.

Most foals won't sell - generally it's foals that could fit into someone else's program. I keep the majority of my foals as show horses. The few that pass my testing and I feel someone might like, I pop them in my sale barn and offer them up every few months. I feel they sell better when older. Most that sell have genes that someone wants for their breeding program.

Your A papered stud would have to have extraordinary genes for me to want him.
If they were mine and I wasn’t breeding them, I’d geld for show or just auction them off
