Let's play a game. -GAME PHASE TWO!
-
Let's get to know each other a little better by playing a game. Post three somewhat obscure things about you that might not be obvious.
1) I was in 4H for a decade.
2) I am learning to speak German.
3) I wear mostly black and white, but I'm a rainbow unicorn at heart.
GAME PHASE TWO
Now go through the above list and find something you connect with that someone posted above. Share what it is you share or resonate with, with another player. :xPost edited by Ammit at 2018-08-23 06:01:39Need to contact me? Read this first.
I sometimes get busy and miss things. If your private message, question, etc. gets missed please ping me so I can follow up with you. I am also always happy to explain or clarify. (HAJ does not have a customer service email, please send me a forum message! )

1) I'm afraid of cats.
2) I remember watching the very first episode of Dr Who when it was broadcast.
3) I don't have (and don't want) a mobile phone. -
I love this!
1. I just started painting reborn baby dolls.
2. I love to create miniatures.
3. I am obsessed with vampire stories. -
1) Ich spreche auch Deutsch. Meine Familie ist von Hamburg.
2) my favorite animal is a raccoon. I have rehabbed many. Horses close second . But everything thinks horses are number one.
3) I rarely ever finish a movie yet distracted by things to easy. -
1) I am deaf
2) I am an aspiring fanfic writer (I already have the start of a story up on a website)
3) I can't sit long enough to actually finish watching a movie or a TV show. I do much better reading -
OK, trying to NOT do the same as on the other server.
1. I am a TOTAL unicorn at heart. And working toward displaying it more. Actually, right now I have pink socks, pink/purple/blue/white/burgundy harem pants and a "galaxy-colored" top on. And my hair is pink and greyish-blue (it really needs to be done, but I love that it has lost color in the lengths while still being pink at the roots). After I hit my 30s I have been getting better at doing my own thing.
2. I have indie-dyed yarn for 1000s USD that is just laying there, because I love knitting but never seem to get around to doing it much. Nowadays I mostly pick them up to look at all the pretty colors :P
3. I would really like to learn Hoopdancing!ID 195859 -
1: I hate cilantro. I'm one of the (lucky) people who think it tastes like soap, to the point where it can make a whole dish inedible for me if whoever made it puts in too much. And by too much I mean the generous amount that people who love it like to include.
2: I love all the scary things. Horror movies, haunted houses, roller coasters. I've even tried my hand at writing horror stories.
3: I am a video game hoarder, but an organized one. Any game I play where I can collect stuff (from Ark to Zomboid) ends up with a million crates and boxes (or barns and pastures) whose contents are sorted within an inch of their pixel capacity. -
1. I discovered I had two cousins (barely) survive the Auschwitz concentration camp. I will always remind people of the atrocities that happened during the Holocaust. Never forget.
2. I just adore hippos.
3. My husband thinks I am nuts... I am obsessed with the Titanic (and the entire tragedy), and I watch every documentary I can get my hands on. I also like sea disaster movies (the new and old Poseidon, Finest Hours) and Jaws. I must watch and rewatch prior to going on a cruise. -
@FLS Ich mag Deutsch! :D I'm finding it easy to pick up. A friend is also teaching me some Bulgarian. That is a painful process.Post edited by Ammit at 2018-07-27 03:02:15Need to contact me? Read this first.

1) I speak four languages: Norwegian,English, Russian and Portuguese. I always wanted to work with NGOs in Central Asia (Mongolia or Kyrgyzstan), but then I bought a horse and moved to Portugal instead.
2) I wanted to have an Akhal-Teke, and I swore that I would never have one of those long-maned iberian horses. Then I rode one, and the rest is history.
3) I am a para dressage rider, but my goal for the next year is to compete in Working Equitation. -
1) I love studying obscure topics in history and watching old 50s and 60s tv shows.
2) Python game programming is a favorite hobby of mine. Since I was 12 and working in flash and actionscript, I've been slowly building my idea of the ultimate farming game.
3) A huge willow tree fell across my driveway this summer and I'm glad. I hope it takes root there to add some interest to the barnyard and become a playground for the goats. (Haven't had a car for years anyway...) -
1. I've been a Star Trek fan since the original series was first broadcast.
2. My family always has a guinea pig living in the dining room. They have all learned to squeak for treats when they hear someone working in the kitchen (especially when I'm making sandwiches with lettuce in them) or, in the summer, when people come in the front door because we often bring in some lawn grass or dandelion and clover blossoms and leaves. They can be quite insistent if we don't pay attention to the first gentle squeaks. :D
3. I spend way too much time reading when I ought to be doing other things. My ideal life would have an infinite supply of books and infinite time to read them.Post edited by SandyCreekAcres at 2018-07-27 20:40:44Thanked by 1ConfluenceStable -
1. In the past 10 years I haven't lived in any one place for more than two.
2. I have been out in temperatures ranging from -47 C to +47C (I liked +47 better believe it or not!)
3. I used to breed fancy Siamese Fighting Fish. They have really fun colour and tail type genetics. -
1. I have 3 cats, and all 3 are very sociable and good, even though one came from my backyard and was about 5 months old in the wild. They are all the most friendly cats ever, it's still taking time to get used to.
2. I ride dressage but haven't ridden consistently in a year, I'm hoping to continue and get my own horse within the next year.
3. I love to crochet and knit and have a monster blanket I've been working on with all of my scrap yarn, I don't think I'll ever finish.
@SandyCreekAcres I used to have guinea pigs, they would scream at and for everything, fat little pigs!! I miss them a lot, just not all of the tons of poop they make. -
1) I have put my hand into the 4 separate oceans(Pacific, Atlantic, Arctic, Indian)
2) I have lived in the arctic and on the equator
3) I am decent at art and analytical thinking(artist and programmer/problem solver lol) My guidance counselor in high school said those traits were not found together... O.o -
1) I own a very temperamental cockatiel named Tilly. She hates people and is terrified of just about everything that moves, makes noise, or is a color she finds offensive. I love her anyway.
2) I just finished my Master of Architecture and can earn my license after another 3000 hours of internships and 6 exams.
3) I’m expecting my first baby in 6 weeks! No idea boy or girl, and we want to be surprised when he/she arrives.

It's actually kind of tricky thinking of things that are maybe less known or obscure! But this is my try
1) I work as a forklift driver in a fruit preserving factory (well at the moment I do anyway!)
2) I have lived and worked in roughly the four corners of australia, and a few places nearer the middle as well!
3) As well as my better known love of my gypsy cobs and ponies, I also have border collie dogs! I used to breed a few litters until I lost my much loved favourite stud dog last year. Now I get to watch others breeding his grand and great grand children -
1) I own a business as well as helping out a friend working in his store usually 30 hours per week (very busy schedule).
2) I love to hunt wild mushrooms and go fishing.
3) I'm trying to open up, make friends, and allow more people in my life. -
I'm so late to the party but love this!!
1.) I have been breeding and raising show chickens since I was in the 7th grade. I breed mostly Cochins (the snowpants chickens) and Mottled Javas.
2.) The only reason I said yes to a first date with my now fiance is because he offered to let me ride his family's horses.
3.) I used to work at a Morgan horse farm and it ruined the breed for me. They are so beautiful but all the retired studs and mares I worked with were old and mean. -
!) I'm going to start a Master's degree this September after being away from studying for more than a year, I'm kinda afraid I won't make it but I'm also very interested in the subject (Media, technology and culture) so I hope I will prevail!
2) I'm a hobby DJ, playing an average of twice a month at different parties from weddings to clubs to festivals.
3) I'm a chocolate addict! My motto is: a day without chocolate means you have not lived that day (it sounds better in Dutch :p)HJ1 160524

1) I am learning Russian, Ukrainian, German, and Norwegian. I know more Russian than any of them but German and Norwegian are easier for me.
2) I was born and raised in America but I have dual citizenship with Germany
3) I really, really dislike avocados.Post edited by CWScowgirl87 at 2018-08-23 05:28:28 -

@CWScowgirl87
Amazing! I am a native Norwegian, and studied Russian at university. Would love to learn Ukrainian, but that must come after Portuguese. -
@White Valley - I don't have one either, mainly because I just haven't gotten a new one since we moved to England but I am finding that I just don't have a need for one.
@pandora acres - Same here, the longest I have ever lived in one place my entire life was two and a half years.
@ichigo I love cats! My most recent cat was one that sort of came with a house we bought - he was a feral kitten when we moved in, and it took him a while, but he became a wonderful indoor-outdoor cat, and he even loved all the things normal cats love - boxes, clean laundry, chicken ect. I also love to crochet and knit :)
@Herzolyde that is so cool! Someday I would love to visit Norway. When I lived in America I always wanted to visit Norway and Ireland more than anywhere else. Now I live in England and it's actually a consideration to go places like that! I love traveling. -
@Sandy Creek Acres - I am also a Star Trek fan right from watching Original Series when it was first shown in Britain in the 1960s. I was in love with Chekov!
@ichigo - I am a knitter and crocheter, mainly the former. If I have nothing to knit I usually find an excuse to crochet a blanket particularly if I have a lot of stash (I ALWAYS have a lot of stash :)) )
To all those learning languages - I am learning French. -
I can relate to FLS Equine Centre because I rarely finish watching a movie.
I studied German in high school. Now I am learning Dutch slowly.
I grew up with Star Trek: The Next Generation.
I have a friendly cat stray that we adopted. He showed up on the trailer park about 2 years ago, and he went to my mom's house and sat at her door. Now he mostly lives with us (me, boyfriend and little Sith) since we are in the same trailer park as my mom. My boyfriend is definitely his choice of staff.
I've always wanted to knit and crochet but know no one that could teach me one on one. My grandma was a knitter and crocheter.
I would love to have an infinite amount of time to read.

@ Kintara - were raise and show another herding dog, the Cardigan Welsh Corgi. My Grnd Champion dog's genes are global. He has a son and grand get in South Africa, and a grandson in Australia.Thanked by 1Kintara

@WhiteValley--I'm another one who doesn't have a mobile phone and isn't really interested in getting one.
