Why does this colt have a WF of none?
-
This colt has white spoting, sabino, and appolusia; yet has a white factor of none? I don't understand.
dArTangans Marquee -
And this horse has no kit, or any other white genes yet has a WF of medium. Can someone please explain?
Dessert Flyer -
White spotting, Sabino and Appaloosa are the white patterns he has. The white factor determines how much white shows.
None or Light are usually very little white while large and extensive white factor are most likely to be all white with the right patterns.Breeding even generation Grullos with KP, Axiom RBG & Wrong Warp, Chinnchilla, Onyx, Phantom Autumn, Bats, Ghosts, Pumpkins, Skulls & Spiders, Plaid, Watercolour genes -
But Marquee has a ton of white showing.
-
Yes, most likely because he has multiple white genes, instead of just one.Go boldly, where no App has gone before!
-
Just for comparison, here is another horse with White 1 and Sabino 1 and WF none. White 1, especially, breaks the Kit gene enough to put quite a lot of white on a horse. I'm really not seeing a lot of Sabino on her, in fact.

Here's a horse with WF none and Sabino 1.

Appaloosa is not usually at all affected by White Factor or the lack or it. Here is an Appaloosa with WF none and Splash. You can see a nice appy blanket, but no signs of the splash.

As for Dessert Flyer, she has Medium WF, but no other white causing genes, and this gives her the white socks on her legs.
