Embryos
  • Wondering what people in general success rate for getting intact fouls from embryos
Any tips have boosted foundation stud. Eggs are a mix of low pt, ex perfect and boosted. Should I void breeding my booster straws with red low pt mate?
Just have had no luck with breeding any intact fouls from embryos
  • I have an exceptional producing mare that I have created 97 embryos for, all using straws from exceptional producing or exceptionally perfect stallions. The oldest offspring are 8 years old, the youngest are foals.

I have 12 intact stallions, 8 A papered, 4 B papered. The latter are all superior to their B papered sires.

I have 21 intact mares, 4 are Blue papered, 17 are red papered. I believe that all but current year's filly have been through SBA. The youngest has been through BA.

So, in 8 years of making 97 embryos from this mare, I have 33 currently intact offspring; 12 of them papered higher than their parent of the same gender.

  • I probably should say that the mare in question was a gift from Ammit and carries Ice 9 and 14 and Watercolor, which is why I have opted to go with flushing her and creating embryos each year. Generally, I do most of my breeding in pastures.

  • So far I’ve used 118 embryos this season (massive clean out of my freezer lmao) 3 colts and 5 mares are left intact so far.

I call them my gorgeous show babies and was honestly surprised any stayed intact
Breeding even generation Grullos with KP, Axiom RBG & Wrong Warp, Chinnchilla, Onyx, Phantom Autumn, Bats, Ghosts, Pumpkins, Skulls & Spiders, Plaid, Watercolour genes
  • Ya I have bred about 30 so far. Was just wondering if I would have better for example, breeding the 9.9 red mare in a be prepared stud. In stead of the boosted A boy instead
  • You'd probably have better luck breeding her to a B papered stud, but as my example shows, even breeding even papers, the intact rate is fairly low.

  • I would use only boosted mares with an A papered boy, and find a nice expro for your reds. Lab breeding is way to expensive to not make sure you have the odds with you.
