In order to put your own horse for sale, go to its Control Panel, find the spot for entering a sale price. Decide what you want to get for it and type it in, then click Sell Horse. If you change your mind, go back to that area of the Control Panel, enter zero and once again click Sell Horse.

To find horses that are for sale, go to Community, Search Horses. At the top left of the search fields, select "For Sale." If you want to look for specific genders, colors or patterns, you can also make those selections. Then click Search, and if there are any horses matching your desires for sale, they will show up.

If you want to look for horses in the auction, you can find them by going to Community, Public Auction Horse, and looking through what's available. You can only bid on them when the auction is open on Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday.

You can enter your horses in the auction from their control panel. The option to enter horses into the auction will not show up while the auction is running, I believe.
