So our poor server is several years old and badly in need of an upgrade. We have been working with our hosting company to come up with a plan and it was decided the best option was a totally brand new server. This is great because we will have faster processors 6 times the ram, beefier data connection ports, faster hard drives and much much more. We are getting the works and the server is going to hum with all these updates.

Here is the bad news. This does mean we will be preforming a migration. Have you ever purchased a new computer and then had to move all your files from the old system to the new one? Think that but like 100x more of a PITA. We will be doing everything in our power come migration time to limit down time but there WILL be some downtime. As we get a better idea when that will happen I will keep you all in the loop but it will probably be at short notice and may be up to a full day.

After the trouble we can look forward to a much more stable and pleasant server experience.
