Special Order Genes can now be purchased for your SS recipient on the advent page.

Thank you so much for doing this! A player has said that when selling a foundation with a licensed gene, the license will transfer. Does it work like this? I have already bought the horses I intend on putting the genes onto for secret santa.

From what I understand, they need to own the horse already to get the licence, but you can buy the genes for it on the Holiday Advent page when someone else owns the horse

Kintara is correct. You are just buying them the license. They decide which horse it will go on, and you put it on that horse.

Liscense do not transfer for any reason. The owner of the horse gets the license. Buy it for a horse they already own or that you have given to them to add genes to.

So if I sell a foundation with a closed gene on it the person that buys that foundation must already have bought a horse with that gene in the past?

So I can't GMT a horse right up, put a closed gene on it (one the person doesn't have) and then give it to them?

Yes, they must already own the licence to buy a horse with the closed gene, it doesn't transfer with the horse

Kintara is again correct. Use the normal page for a horse you own. This form on the advent page is for buying a license for another player.
