I'm excited about this stallion!
-
Just found out through breeding that my 2nd gen, A papered, Hidden Gates son has to be het DP! Bred him to a plain palamino mare and got a chocolate foal!

Here is the foal, she got spayed but still a cutie!

He also has a Hom DP filly Musketeer2 congrats he has lovely foals
-
@jaclou how can I tell if the other foal is hom DP? I know she is at least het because she is a liver, but the dame for that foal is also a liver so I wasn't sure.
-
To be liver or chocolate, a horse must have 3 darkening genes, with at least one of them being DP. Since the other filly has only one testable darkening gene - Sty, she must then be homozygous for DP to be a liver.Go boldly, where no App has gone before!Thanked by 1jaclou

I didn't even notice that she was only het sooty. Thanks!
