I am just looking to see what other people do as far as boosting goes, if they ever add boosts to lined horses and not just foundations. I usually just do it to foundations and let them go up in paper level on their own from breeding, but I caved in and added a 5% boost to this guy. I was hoping it would have bumped him up to a *Star since he was already A and superior to sire.

I am just wondering if people do add boosts to lined horses, and if so, what determines which horse you pick to add it to? I added it to that colt because he has the coloring and markings that I breed for.

I occasionally boost lined colts. Sometimes it's because they need that 1% to make it to *Star calibre; sometimes it's because they really are a blend of genetics that would be extremely difficult to replicate, sometimes I'm just flush with IVs and feeling like a splurge. In short, for Some Reason they need to justify the expense.

I sometimes boost lined colts, just to tip them over the edge into being superior say if they have all the genes I wanted otherwise, I don't tend to boost already high quality colts as then my mares won't keep up with them LOL. That colt you boosted must be very close to a star I'd reckon, I'm surprised he didn't go Star with the boost

I've boosted some long lined star stallions and a couple long lined mares, but mostly I've spent boosts on the rare brindle foals I get. :D
