Leveling Off Question
-
I am really trying to pay more attention to showing but I'm not very good at it yet. I have been reading all the posts and FAQs I can find but still have a question.
When a horse is leveled off, do they continue to go up the levels and grades? Like could they still go from 4W to 5L or does it mean they will stay at 4W forever? I know they can continue to slowly earn points.
For example; would you continue to show this horse?

They can slowly tick up show score for a while.Need to contact me? Read this first.
I sometimes get busy and miss things. If your private message, question, etc. gets missed please ping me so I can follow up with you. I am also always happy to explain or clarify. (HAJ does not have a customer service email, please send me a forum message! )

I've frequently had horses that leveled off at the top of a class and managed eventually to add enough fractions of a point to shift up into the next level and remain at the bottom there. If they have gathered enough points, they're still worth keeping, even if it's not much good showing them.
I'd probably go on showing a mare like yours. She's obviously at the bottom of the class, but hasn't always come in last, so she's still adding a couple of points each time. See how she does for a month or so. Eleven hbs nightly isn't a huge contribution, I admit, but you'd spend 70 hbs entering her in classes, and she's bringing in approximately 77 hbs per week, so you probably won't be losing money doing it. :DPost edited by SandyCreekAcres at 2019-01-16 06:11:48Thanked by 1ConfluenceStable -
