Selling horses is not the best way to make money in this game, largely because popular colors are continually changing and everyone is busily filling their barns and pastures with their own breeding. When starting out, it's a good idea to build a strong show string so that your nightly showing bonus, which is based on the number of points your horses have gathered by placing higher than last in their shows. New players can create horses that have a start on their points, so that is one way to begin--create horses and neuter the ones with the highest number of points to start your show string. You can scan the auction listings on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday and bid on interesting show horses there, too.

It does take a while to get started, I know. This is a great game for developing patience. :)
