WTB: 'At' Brown Foundation Stud
-
Looking to buy a B or higher papered foundation stallion that is heterozygous or homozygous for the 'At' brown gene. Silver is a bonus :)
Otherwise, wondering if GMT is the only other way to get this gene? I was away for a few months when it was released so I do not know too much about it.HJ1: 133971 -
Unfortunately I don't have any boys for sale! I have two boys up for breeding tho:
http://www.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=2857221 Homozygous At, KP and sab1
http://www.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=2857217 At A+
The At gene can also be found randomly on any horse you create, so GMT is not the only way to get it! But the chances aren't that big, especially not when you're looking for homozygous horses.HJ1 160524

Ah thank you! I'll have to keep those boys in mind next season :)HJ1: 133971Thanked by 1MasterStablesMS

Some exceptions are the Herd Helpers that specify values for the bay/Agouti gene. Since they were created when the only options were A or a, they will not have At or A+ as possibilities. I believe that this is what Ammit said when she introduced the new bay variations. In addition, Herd Helpers that are for "brown" specifically, will be the old E? A? SstySsty, and so now are only dark baysThanked by 1SilverCreekFarm

I really love the new brown, so I searched for the perfect young unbred stallion to purchase and gmted him!

On the subject of Here Helpers....
As long as they don't say Homozygous Agouti, you can get A+ or At. Most of the Bay HH don't and are Heterozygous Agouti, however you won't be able to tell if you have any At horses without testing as they will be AtA. A+ horses will show.
That said, your best bet is Homozygous Black or Heterozygous Black Herd Helpers.Imation Stud ID# 2609
