Wild Buckskins?
-
Does anyone hoard wild buckskins that is looking to add foundations to their collection?
If so, are there any certain looks you like more? When I go on my create sprees I always put them for sale along with DPs and Browns, and the wild buckskins never sell. Just wondering if anyone is actually interested in buying them. -
I like them, but most wild spree ones are bays (even though they look buckskin in coloring), if they are buckskins, they usually are buttermilk buckskins if they are wild.

Think! - It's not illegal yet. -
Yea I've gotten those too. 5 or 10 of them. They never sell though
-
Cliche', please hit me up next time you get some. I don't hoard them exactly, but I could use some more. :)
I won't pay 20k for 'em, but I'll certainly give you back your cost.
-
I try to get 5k since that's about what I get if I breed and auction. I'll send you a link
-
Omg...so pretty. Just haven't nabbed any wild anything yet. So would love a wild buckskin. Put me on the waiting list for a breedable one please. will pay whatever i could for him/ her .
-
Ok, give Robyn priority then, she wants them harder. :)
-
Robyn, If you would really like one I will try and breed one for you like this girl
http://www.huntandjump.com/horse.php?horseid=3173195
I have both her parents and can breed them together in May for you if want. All I will want for the foal is 500hb to cover the breeding cost if the foal is the right colour and passes the tests to be breedable.
The father is an exceptional producer and the mother an exceptional show horse so it should a decent foal as well as pretty.
-
Robyn, I have this girl that I could sell you. She won't be breedable again until next season, but you could have her now. Her page classifies her as champagne, but she does carry the wild gene.

What does the Wild gene do exactly? I guess I missed the memo on the wild gene! :(
-
Look at the buckskins in the links above. See how the black leg markings are fainter and lower than the average bay or buckskin? That's what it does.
-
That seems like such a subtle thing to create a new gene for, no wonder I didn't notice it right off the bat!
-
It's a real thing, so Ammit put it in. :)
-
-
Robyn I'll put a note on the mare to breed her for you.
Fingers crossed she gives another striped maned yellow foal :)Post edited by Jemimapuddleduck at 2015-04-03 12:21:33 -

Anyone in this thread, I have some I'll sell. I have to go through and figure out who has it still but in the meantime feel free to look through my foals from Wild Moon. My ID is 210569.
-
Doe anyone have any wild buckskin stallions? I love them! I would be interested in mares, too, as I only have a couple of wild buckskins
-
I am interested in getting more into the wild gene. I have a lot of pearl horses. If anyone wants to trade or be willing to accept fair price I would be interested in getting some wild genes in my herd! Thank you!

There are some wild buckskins I believe on the sale board if you are looking, they are foundies. http://www.huntandjump.com/adv_search.php?status=sale&ageg=&agel=&agee=&erag=&eral=&erae=&f_basic=none&f_adv=none&tattoo=&f_limit=25&stallion=1&mare=1&gelding=1&spayedmare=1&name=ang&name_lm=like&color=&color_lm=not+like&bty=1&foundation=1&sire=&dam=&barn=&owner=&breeder=&e1=1&e2=1&a1=1&a2=1&f1=1&f2=1&p1=1&p2=1&s1=1&s2=1&s3=1&c1=1&c2=1&c3=1&d1=1&d2=1&g1=1&g2=1&ch1=1&ch2=1&z1=1&z2=1&sa1=1&sa2=1&kit1=1&kit2=1&kit3=1&kit4=1&kit5=1&kit6=1&kit7=1&kit8=1&kit9=1&sp1=1&sp2=1&rb1=1&rb2=1&o1=1&o2=1&l1=1&l2=1&v1=1&v2=1&brindle1=1&brindle2=1&patn1=1&patn2=1&patn3=1&patn4=1&patn5=1&patn6=1&wf1=1&wf2=1&wf3=1&wf4=1&wf5=1&wf6=1Post edited by Abbey98 at 2015-04-11 15:21:56
