It's a little soon, but I just love him!

I bred this colt last season and he's quite stunning! His official color is : "White Spotted Silver Classic Cream Champagne Roan Dun Splash Frame Appaloosa Rabicano". Quite the mouthful! He has a lot of rare genes swirled in there, and I cannot wait until next season where he'll put up for stud! I'm not going to put him through breeding advice, for because I don't want to ruin anything. Please tell me what you think!

Very pretty! I would do the breeding advice though - you can always try again for the color, but a poor stud will make you cry for generations.
-
He's certainly lovely looking, but I wouldn't breed to him personally. However, he's your horse, and it's your game, so you have the right to keep him for your own use.

@Forestshadow may I ask why? He looks good to me.Thanked by 1Craig

I’m with Forestshadow. He’s a pretty boy, but I only breed to even pedigreed horses and they must be run through all testing and test superior to sire. :)Thanked by 1Craig

I breed only even pedigrees and all my stallions must pass SBA and test superior to sire.
-
Wow. I just test to see if they score well above 10, and most of their offspring aren't covered in white. Or that they don't die in utero because of lethal whiteness.237621Thanked by 1Craig

There is no wrong way to play this game. When i first started in 2015, i bred anything and everything and usually only wanted color and pretty. But as the real life years went on, i learned about breeding for quality and my lines have gotten super strict. I used to breed lined studs to foundation mares, like your boy. Now i breed even generations and paper levels. Foundation C studs to Foundation Yellow mares (or Foundation B to Red). My second gens MUST paper Red for mares and B for colts, with some Blues and A's popping up occasionally. Third gens and fourth MUST be Blue and A papered, with occasional Gold and Star popping up in fourth gen. Fifth gen and higher are Gold and Star, nothing else. And every colt in all generations MUST compare superior to their sire or it is an immediate snip. I have only made one exception to boost a colt on the forest server last season because the colt was exactly what i wanted.
That all being said, i have over 5000 horses so i do not need nor want a ton of breeders but i do want quality horses. So my culling process limits how many breedable mares and studs i have while also ensuring that the ones i do have are the best quality they can be. BUT! If you are happy with the way you are doing things, don't change because others do it differently! Your horses are yours to breed and play with :) I look back on my old old lines/horses from when i first joined in September 2015 and i am glad i did things the way i did back then. Carefree. Breeding pretty ponies happy as could be. I loved all the horses i bred, saved pictures of them as foals and as adults, etc. Your boy is absolutely beautiful and he should make some gorgeous babies!Bluegrass Server: HayesStable - 221755

Like Hayes said, there’s no wrong way to play. You’ll just find that different players have different standards; just because I wouldn’t breed to an uneven stud doesn’t mean others wouldn’t! :)
The big part of this game is having fun. We all breed different things and set different goals. I just wanted to explain why you may find people not breeding to him or him not getting as much interest as anticipated. Same thing with sales - many of us will only buy/breed even lined horses, but that doesn’t mean it’s right or wrong.Thanked by 1HayesStable -
I breed both even and uneven horses. My uneven horses are my show line to hopefully help boost my daily bonus faster while I grow my even bred lines.

Wow! Thank you guys! I didn't really notice that it meant anything to anybody. I usually keep my horses to myself, but sometimes I get a guy like this one with some rare genes that deserves to have others like him! There's only one other horse of his color on this game, both servers %%-Post edited by Craig at 2019-03-08 19:42:34Thanked by 1HayesStable

If he makes you happy, that’s all that matters! :)
