Colts Superior to Sire, As Good As each other
  • I have two colts: one is papered A, one is papered B. They show they're as good as each other. What does that mean?
    The A colt:

    The B colt:

  • Since the sire is C papered i would think it means the A papered boy is a low A. Remember, it says "about as good as" meaning there is a small gray area in which we cannot see. A horse can be just slightly better or just slightly worse and the difference will be too close to consider it superior or worse so the game determines they are just about the same but not always exactly. Does that make sense? Lol i just read that back to myself and i hope i made sense :))

  • So continuing on, to help a little, the A papered boy is only a tiny bit better than the B papered boy and we only know that because of the paper levels. But since the invisible numbers are so close, they are considered "about as good as" each other

  • Ah, so the A may give higher foals and then he may not. Does NOT make it any easier to choose between the two :)) guess they both get to stay for awhile. :D
  • TBH, they both look like twins to me. :)) The only difference I see is the fact that the second one is a little bit darker than the first. (I'm mean there are other differences but there so gosh dang close it doesn't really matter, lol.)
  • Genetics are a tad bit different. The first one has is hom w20 and minimal white factor, the bottom one only has one copy but he has no white factor.
  • Honestly, I'll probably keep Standard Refund because I'm trying to make a Gold Champagne line. What A Standard would work because he's chestnut, but I prefer the Gold coloring.
  • Even though it says they are about as good the A paper boy is superior to the B papered boy because he has higher papers.

In my barns the B would have been snipped before Comparison testing because no matter what it says C<B<A<Star
