  • Hi!
So I'm really new to the game, just joined yesterday... and I'm super lost. Is there any guide, or 'how to' manual out there than I skipped over? I have so many just basic game questions.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Hello, I hope you enjoy the game. I will give you some help with this game. I remember what it was like to be lost. I even dreams about finding how to play this wonderful addictive game.

Earning HB ( Currentcy in the game) To earn HB you need to show your horses. Showing horses earns you points. These point are accumulated and half are put into your weekly bonus. You can also make some money by sending unwanted horses to the auction or selling them.

Showing Horses You click the tab that says My Barns, once you have done that, go to the arrow that is pointed under the section labeled Enter. That will bring you to a page where you select your class. Once you have selected your class you do it again with another horse you own.

Buying a horse To buy a horse you can create a horse that is under the tab labeled Create a horse. Once you have done that you fill out what gender you desire your horse to be and give the horse a name. Or you can go under the tab that says Search Horses. Click the for sale at the button and a range of horses will appear. Click the horse you wish to buy by clicking on it and scrolling down to the bottom of the page Labled Purchase this horse. The horse is then yours.

Breeding a horse Mares must be at least 4 years of age and stallions must be at least 3 years of age. You can search horses for breeding alot like buying a horse.

  • Thanks! Also, how does time work in the game? How long is a year of the game in real time?

  • A game year is two real life months. The current year started today and will end on 30th June. The next year will then start on 1st July and so on.

  • You also will need to train your horses every week. Click on the "Train My Horses" link in the showing section of the navigation bar. It will take you to a page with drop boxes listing all your horses to be trained, with an H for hunters or J for jumpers after their name. Be sure to train each horse in the same discipline each time. You can switch them before they have been trained, but once they start training, if you switch the training they had in the first discipline does not transfer to the new one. Horses can be trained once per week and shown twice per week.
Breeding high quality Sheldasen horses in all the fancy colors.

  • Okay, and by week, you mean an actual real life week?
    ID# 218421
  • Yes. Once per real life week. :) They can show twice per real life week.
  • Yes the week here is the same as a real life week. It starts on a Sunday so tomorrow you will be able to train your horses again and start entering them in shows.
You will also get your weekly pay on Sunday. If you don't have an upgrade you need to make sure you collect your pay by clicking the button on your stable homepage.
Showing your horses in competitions helps you win points which get you a weekly bonus added to your weekly pay. The best way to be successful on the game aside from breeding great horses is to own a great show herd - the more show horses you have, the more points you are likely to win which means a bigger bonus :)
  • Okay! Sounds good. Thank y'all so much. :) I'll get to training and showing!

  • Also, what does it mean at the top of the Stable Home page, when it says "You will be able to breed at 12:30 on the 3rd day of this breeding season"
    ID# 218421
  • That is the time you can start breeding your horses, as there are different starting times for each person, so that we don't crash the server trying all at the same time.

Think! - It's not illegal yet.
  • Okay, so when is breeding season??
    ID# 218421
  • We are in it right now, otherwise you would not get that message. Breed away! Mares must be 4 years old to breed, and stallions 3 years old.

  • Breeding season runs from the beginning of each new game year through the 27th of the following month. It is good game play to breed foundation horses (newly created ones) together, horses that are 2nd generation (foundation parents) together, and so forth.

If you don't have stallions of your own, you can look for suitable stallions using the Search Horses page. On the left side, under status, select "for breeding." In the main search section, select either Foundation or Lined, depending on the generation of the mare you want to breed, and Stallion as the gender.

To search for mares up for public brood, if you want to breed your own stallion, make sure to uncheck "Bred this year," since mares can have only one foal per season. Stallions can have up to 50 live cover breedings.

Be sure to check on the main page of the horse you select for any breeding rules its owner may have established.
