Pasture Breeding
-
Have not been playing much for a while.
I have been putting mares in pastures and have found that I cannot tell if a mare is already bred or not by drop down list. They used to be grayed out of the mare was bred.
I just put 15 mares and stallion in pasture and it says zero mares to be bred. I looked and all of them were bred.
Is there a way to tell if they have been bred or not? I find I am putting a whole lot of mares that are already bred, then having to clear pastures and start over. Very frustrating.

Are you on a computer or phone? On my computer it shows mares already bred as being grayed out, as usual.Bluegrass Server: HayesStable - 221755

That's a feature? I'm on my phone and I've never seen that.
-
Then it must just be for computers. I don't play on my phone if i don't have to. Way too much work lolBluegrass Server: HayesStable - 221755

On my phone, when you view the pasture, next to each mare's description, it shows "bred this year" and either 0 if not bred or 1 if bred.
-
My phone only shows the mares grayed out once in awhile, not every time.
-
I am playing on a tablet. When I used my desktop the mares that were bred were always gray.
I don't have the time to sort thru mares to put in pastures. I have them labeled by generation and genes to make it easier to click and move into pastures.
Like I stated above it is really frustrating. -
I leave my mares in pastures year round. Generally 2 pastures per generation. Foundation is just one pasture. 5th is just one pasture, it's not full, and 6th doesn't have enough mares to warrant its own pasture yet.
-
I don't leave my horses in pastures after breeding because I remember somewhere Ammit saying not to use pastures as extra barns. I guess that stuck in my head lol
-
You can leave breeding horses on pastures to get bonuses for the mares. It's not against the rules and it's actually better for the mares to stay in. I believe Ammit was referring to foals. Don't use pastures as extra barns for foals because they will get sold back. I have 27 pastures total on this account and ALL of my mares stay in there forever (well right now i'm doing a purge so i have several empty pastures) and i do the same thing on Server 2 with all my pastures.Bluegrass Server: HayesStable - 221755

Yeah, I do think Ammit meant leaving foals in pasture so they wouldn't take up stall space in actual barns, and she didn't approve of that.
-
Well cool, I may try that.
Thanks. :) -
I don’t think it was so much that she didn’t approve of leaving foals in the pasture. It was to limit the drama from people leaving the foals in the pastures and them being sold back (since I’m pretty sure it happens a few days before months end) to the game. They don’t have as much to complain about since everyone’s told not to leave foals in the pasture up frontBreeding even generation Grullos with KP, Axiom RBG & Wrong Warp, Chinnchilla, Onyx, Phantom Autumn, Bats, Ghosts, Pumpkins, Skulls & Spiders, Plaid, Watercolour genes

Yup, and you get a big red warning if you still have foals in pasture by that point.
