Today I got this filly and had to do a double take after I tested her because at a glance I thought she was a liver. I'd never seen a Silver Bay that looked quite so dark before.

Both of her parents are het DP, so I wonder if it's possible that she's hom? Or are there some other factors of her genetics that contribute to this coloration?

Even looking through the horse search (LINK) for Silver Bays with her genes only turned up one mare that I found to be really similar.
