Hello there @Flutterbelle! I can see the Ammititis has gotten to you already! (Ammit is the games creator who we all love very dearly as she does so much to keep this game entertaining and to keep the real horse genetics up to date.)

The introductory upgrade is the basic upgrade. You get everything plus the extra added bonuses that it lists for buying it.

If your upgrade expires, your primary barn will just be very overfilled is all. Nothing will happen to them. Same for the pastures, they will just be overfilled. When overfilled though, you will not be able to add any more horses to them. You will only be able to take them out until they are not longer overfilled. Then you'll be able to add in horses again till there full once more.

Your banner will just not show up. It will not be deleted. Once the upgrade is activated again, it will show up once again. Your breed name will not be put on new horses you breed but it will stay on horses you have bred when the upgrade was active. You will also not lose any of your straw's, you just won't be able to use them.

I did that $1.99 deal, and I managed to buy a new upgrade with IVs a few days ago, with about 2 weeks left.
It can be done, but you have to start saving up for it immediately. Don't be dumb like I was and only remember with one month left!
Plus, build a show herd before worrying about breeding. Make sure you visit the Available to Adopt chat room, which will set you up with 3 high point horses.
