I’m curious about cloning but since I only have a basic account I’m personally not able to clone. These are the questions I have so far.

Can you only clone a horse you’ve bred?
My question is how much does it cost to clone a horse?
Is it possible to clone lined horses, or just foundations?

Yes you can only clone horses you have bred.
The first time it costs 50 IVs, the second time you clone the same horse it is 75 IVs and so on.
Both foundations and lined horses can be cloned.

I’ve heard certain genes don’t transfer to the cloned horse is that true?

If soe do DP and KitM transfer?

Yes, that is true, genes from the Roving Gene Sale as well as some that are GMTable cannot be cloned.

This recent thread (link) has a lot of info on cloning that was really useful to me.

~~KitM is a RGS gene/cannot be occur in creates so by my understanding you couldn't clone it.~~ As for DP, it is also an RGS gene, but since it does also occur in creates my guess would be that it can be cloned. I'm not 100% on that though. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

DP does clone in my experience and the one time i cloned a kit m stud, that cloned as well. I have also cloned white 3 and 10.

The KitM, DP stallion I would want cloned was born before the RGS came out. Do you think his Kit M would be on his clone?

I can't say for certain but i know that in the past it has cloned. This is the one that i cloned with it:
