how much is an exceptionally perfect mare worth

i have a couple to sell but don't know what to price them atPost edited by OopsDotCom at 2015-06-20 10:49:10

From what I've seen, they go for a little less than stallions. I've seen anywhere from 6,000 to 20,000 depending on their age. Are you selling Warmbloods or Ponies? I think Ponies go for a little less, like around 3,500.
You could try searching for Exceptionally Perfect mares and check their owner history to see what they sold for. That might help give you an idea of a price.Post edited by Cavalynn at 2015-06-20 11:24:18 -
I would say no more than 6k max. 20k is way too high, you would have a really hard time finding a buyer.
As someone said on the old forums, foundations are realistically worth 2,500 because that is how much it costs to create a foundation. Anyone can create a foundation for 2,500. -
The foundation rescue is full of very good rescue horses for 2500. I think maybe 5k would be reasonable, maybe a bit more if she's color tested or has patterns. I wouldn't go above 10 though.
I wouldn't go 20k on one unless it was a brindle or something else that's hard to find.

I sell my "plain" Exceptionally Perfect mares for 4k. If patterned, it depends upon the pattern, but never over 6k.Imation Stud ID# 2609

Well, you can find gold papered mare under 20k, and they are better than Ex pro mares.
So yeah, that's totally on the high side.Post edited by Gael4ce at 2015-06-21 20:40:39
