They don't have to be the same era. Just not earlier. (If stud is Era 8, mare can be era 8-19)

I would do Het. You can always spend the 1 gmt to place on the foals if the name doesn't pass it on VS the 30 gmts for the extra DFP2 to put on mare to make her homozygous.

He needs some white. Tobiano is usually a nice one to use. Might have to up the White Factor.

Appaloosa(LP) is the only one phantoms will not show on.

I would do Platinum, but alot of newer players wouldn't be able to use him due to it still being a closed gene.
