Well he used to be white spotted smoky blue roan splash. The picture changed when I refreshed him.

So @Blu now you have me curious about PATN 2 lol I first thought this girl was a full leopard, hence the name lol, but she only carries 1 PATN1 gene with a minimal WF and no Kit. Would she be an example of PATN2? The only thing that really gives her away are her dark legs.

I just fell into The Appaloosa Projects blogs lol pages and pages of information on patn1 and 2. Even theoretical patn 3 and 4. Very interesting :)

As you can see, the blankets are bigger on some, even though they're only het PATN. W20 also makes blankets bigger.

Found another minimal WF no kit het PATN1 in pasture with full body coverage :D

Should be, @Peachtree. The best way to know for sure is the GMT test, but again I'm out. =)) holding on to those is like finding a four leaf clover, hard to do.

Oh that's right, I've actually been hanging on to a GMT token because I can't decide what foal to use it on. I can't check out Mulberry because she has a foal but Sangria does have PATN2 (I think, showed + to +) How exciting :D

Oh my gosh LOVE your appies! I was trying for some thing like that but for mostly leopards as my main focus! One of my favorite colors are blue roans and l am breeding for pearl and liver leopards too! Haven't got a great start for my blue roan leopards, I only breed riding horses or riding ponies so most of the time I can't find the bone density I want and it doesn't seem to be a popular color, don't really have the funds to GMT either but I do have a snowcap blue appie stud, only three non appie patn1 carrier mares though. Going way better for my Pearl's and livers(they kinda became one on me so I breed more liver pearls than anything but I love them)! I have a full leopard hom DP and Hom pearl stud that I can't wait to use just waiting for the bonuses on the mares! Would like to get more foundation liver mares sometime! Hopefully get good foals that meet the goal this season! Again all the appaloosas here are awesome and I hope mine turn out even half as great as yours! Congrats and good luck to you!
