I would love to see mules or donkeys too! Love the huge ears! Also I'm always a fan of a good thoroughbred and more drafts!Thanked by 1Cavalynn

And of course, mules are sterile. I love mules and donkeys too

2 lights and a medium would be cool.
Arab, Morgan, and Lusitanio? -
My favorites for the next round would be:
Light-boned - Egyptian Arabian(older version, not the super dish faced, leggy ones, I prefer the more closely coupled compact bodies with a slightly concave profile)
Medium-boned - Andalusian(muscular, yet refined, thick and long mane and tail)
Heavy-boned - Drum Horse(thick, yet elegant, long legged, luxuriously thick mane and tail, and super abundant feathering). -
We have sat down and gone over people's suggestions.
Right now our plan is:
Light: Traditional Arabian
Medium: Stock type QH and a Lusitaino/Andalusian (a true wb would be better but I want a Spanish breed lol!)
If Jenx has time he will try to also get out a Fjord before the end of the year.
We also have a Halloween BC in the works.Need to contact me? Read this first.
I sometimes get busy and miss things. If your private message, question, etc. gets missed please ping me so I can follow up with you. I am also always happy to explain or clarify. (HAJ does not have a customer service email, please send me a forum message! )

I would be thrilled to see a Lippit Morgan, Cleveland Bay, and a Fjord!
-
Morgans will be getting pushed to the next round as there is not enough interest in them compared to Arabians. :)Need to contact me? Read this first.

My vote will always be for the Akhal Teke - and like the Arabian there are multiple family lines with different body type, very form follows function. From Country to Country, you'll find different forms, sometimes because of climate, and sometimes because of how they are conditioned. Seriously I could probably easily give you a 20 page thesis just on the mare lines alone. Needless to say this is my breed, so if you need help finding photos, by all means hit me up.

So if we were to go with the theme of the game, I'd have to suggest practical breeds for medium and heavy horses. (The heavies we have don't really fit the theme, if that's the argument against QH/Stock Horses). Thinking of body types we don't already have in game:
Light - Akhal Teke (see above)
Medium - Thoroughbred
Heavy - Irish Draught -
I also would love a Lippitt Morgan ; I used to own one and worked at a couple of Morgan farms as a teenager and after college :)
Also yes the Jumper type Thoroughbred, and Adalusian and a heavy Shire, or Clydesdale

I like Trakehner horses too.Bluegrass id:182429

At some point I’d love to see miniature horses as a BC for the collectible size (if that’s possible)
These are 2 of mine that have semi-decent pictures. I’m not a huge fan of the ones that look like tiny Arabs with overly dished faces that they oil up for shows
The first one is a chestnut mare bred by Little Wonder Horse Farm in Topping, VA. She threw a chocolate palomino with two blue eyes years ago but I don’t have a good picture of him.
Both are double registered with AMHA and AMHRPost edited by RedtailFoxFarm at 2023-08-16 12:45:37Thanked by 1Cavalynn -
We have no plans at this time to have height locked BCs. They take far to much work to make that worthwhile.Post edited by Ammit at 2023-08-16 12:46:26Need to contact me? Read this first.

@Ammit Yeah I had wondered how much extra work that would take since you have the art linked to bone weight values
-
a nice chunky shetland pony would be awesome though!
-
I would do ANYTHING for a Lusitano!
Akhal-Teke would be fun too, maybe a fjord for heavy breeds?Post edited by Herzeloyde at 2023-08-16 13:42:14Thanked by 1Cavalynn -
I love Miniature Horses, I use help out at a mini farm, I have owned two Miniature Horses. I hope to get another when hubby retires, before I get too old to enjoy it Lol. I am a fan of the Arabian looking Mini but yes no super dished head. I hope to get a mini Gypsy vanner looking one, they are still very new to the Miniature Horse world. I love the Buckaroo bloodline.Post edited by RKO at 2023-08-16 13:55:01Bluegrass id:182429

I'm a sucker for heavy breeds! I this the build of Vanner horses are beautiful and with the heavy feathering :x :

One Stud I find particularly eye catching is Dakota Spirit Ori at May Day Acres in Colorado. They have a wonderful gallery of him and their other studs:

I’d be interested in seeing an Ahkal Teke, too.
Personally, I’d probably rate the Morgan above them, but they’re still a light breed I’d love to see.
All about those light breeds because that’s my main bone weight. For now. It’s fairly easy to breed bone weight up if I need to and I’m already working on lines I can use to make that happen if a BC comes out I super need :)) -
I don’t have any pictures, but throwing in my hopes for a Morgan, Andalusian, and Gypsy Vanner!
-
Oooooo @kgstable, I think I agree with vanners! I love those :x
-
A Shire could be a nice breed for the next heavy since it's opposite in so many ways from the SP. Lots of feathers and showy while the Suffolk is more utilitarian.
Here's some of my favorite Shire images:
This one could be really good for reference.
Not the best conformation shot, but wowie that coat!

I also agree that Akhal Teke could be a fun BC, though it might be tricky to capture the curved ears in profile. Isn't that a medium breed though, not a light? Andalusian or Lipizzaner would also be beautiful for another medium bone.
@bluchrystals @fiddler I guess I'm in the minority there then. That Scapa picture is actually my favorite Arabian head profile photo ever. I love the eye and the flare of the nostril and the line of the forehead into the nose and the perk of the ears. I do like a nicely dished face and I think it would be nice for the next light breed since the Saddlebred has a really long straight nose. When I look side by side, I actually think Scapa looks like the same shape as the "ideal" in the middle of that drawing. The "camel-nose" is what I definitely don't like, I consider that extreme.
@Cherobird Donkeys and mules would be so fun! I've actually been thinking, whenever I see my Friesian BC foals with appy blankets they look like spotted mules to me, but not otherwise. No idea why. :PPost edited by Cavalynn at 2023-08-16 17:46:30 -
True warmblood type gets my vote for one of the medium bone options
-
Cavalynn of the horses you posted the last one is a Vanner, not a shire. The large gray appears to be a Percheron.Need to contact me? Read this first.

I would absolutely go nuts for a classic, dishy Arabian. I know they've gotten super extreme in halter classes these days, but some like the older school Arabs like Khemosabi or the ones Cavalynn posted would be up my alley for the game and is definitely at the top of my wishlist.
I also would love a foundation style quarter horse at some point

For heavy boned breeds I think Shires, Brabants, or percherons would be really fun. A lot of the draft breeds look similar conformationally to me so I don't have a very strong opinion. :)

@Cavalynn All the shire you showed beautiful, the last horse you posted I actually saw that horse in person and I think it is a Gypsy Vanner and the coat is amazing in person, photos don't do it justice, I think it was a stallion but I didn't remember.Post edited by RKO at 2023-08-17 04:56:11Bluegrass id:182429
