I've been trying to get some decent gold creme champagne appys and some silver dark chinchilla appys. Silvers aren't so hard, but I don't think I could have picked a harder champagne. For one thing it's heterogeneous, and if the foal looks good...it gets snipped. :((

I’ve had seasons like that. It’s been better this year with my mares in pasture for 30 days. Although, I keep getting colts so I’ve been gelding and selling or putting in the show string. It is better to geld by choice, though, rather than failing the tests.

I used a public broodie for that foal, so there was the risk. I don’t have pasture space for all of my 2G mares for next season so I’ll be back to the coin toss.

I finally broke down and GMT’d one of my newer Candy Appleloosas so she had a PATN gene and I could breed her. She’s absolutely gorgeous now.

I bred her to my favorite outside stallion and got this lovely obviously DP filly. Who got spayed. Sad day. Oh well. She ended up a warmblood and missed the PATN anyway so she doesn’t really “fit.” Pretty show pony she is.

I like Paradox Candy and Paradox Apple the best .
I GMT'd my stallion on my secondary account to carry Llp, got a lucky draw from an exceptionally perfect that carried two PATN1s. Bred him to a black exceptional show that I didn't test first, got a superior to Sire that looks beaut. Tested her because of it...she got spayed. :)) I brought her back and put her under no testing. I'll leave her in the pasture and see what we get next season.

Oh! I love when they have hidden pattern genes, bluechrystals! I have a better Brindle Breakout mare that apparently carries PATN since I have a leopard colt out of her. I should have GMT’d LP onto her, but how could I know? :p

Unfortunetly, no. I can’t use that guy. I’ve got colts coming out my ears lol And I don’t have the license either. The only colt I need now is a Snowflake. I have a het Snowflake who matures next season, but I want a Homozygous.

I got this pretty 3G lady! Unfortunetly spayed, but just barely good enough to keep around as a show horse.
