In light of the new awards category, I thought it might be fun to do a small line that completely avoids inbreeding and only uses outside stallions. Maybe 10-30 mares to start and 1-2 stallions to sha…

I’ve also downsized breeding and I’ve found having at least 20 foundation mares is helpful to ensure you get enough superior second gen mares to go forwards. That said, I’m not boosting or maxin…

It’s the number of licenses you own. My understanding is that you get a licence every time you buy a gene through the upgrade store.

Yes, lifetime payout does depreciate. Like annismyrph said, he’s earning you a bunch per day, but since he’s 21, he could pass on rollover, so his lifetime payout is small.

It’s definitely a hard stage in the game, so patience is pretty key. I’d recommend prioritizing buying new barns whenever you do earn. I had a minimum number of hbs to hold onto for daily expenses…

Age is also a factor and I personally only buy pointed creates that have a decent PT score, since that ensures they’ll keep earning points. Usually I look for horses 5 or younger with PT over 9.
